Video and finding replay

Video
A monthly video of highlights from each cup race will be produced including final placings. In order to do this replays from the time attack rounds are required, replays are not required for the finals. If you want to be in the video you must send in your replay.

The first forum post for each cup race will have the details of the replay name you are looking for, the email address it should be sent to and when it must be sent in by. These details will always be in the same format right at the top of the first post in each weeks cup topic on the ATR forum

Replay directory
Your fastest time for a track should be saved in your TrackMania autosaves directory. The location of this directory can vary from computer to computer and operating system. But it also not just yor replay we need. If you use a custom car please also send the zip file for it along with your replay. Otherwise your car will just be grey in the replays



Finding your Replay
There are two easy ways to locate your replay
Method 1
The first is to just use search in windows to find the file from the replay name provided in the forum topic
Eg
[User Name]_Dirty Panorama - With a Twist_Cup Version.Replay.gbx

Windows XP

Click on the search button


Search Documents


Paste in the name of the replay you are looking for into the search box then click search
Just remember to delete the [User Name] part and just search for the rest


Method 2
The other way is to look for it yourself and the easiest way to do this is to sort your directory by date so you only are looking to find it amongst your most recent files.

Which directory ?
Your fastest time for a track should be saved in your TrackMania autosaves directory. The location of this directory can vary from computer to computer and operating system.

For windows XP a typical location is
C:\Documents and Settings\[User Name]\My Documents\TrackMania\Tracks\Replays\Autosaves

For Vista and Windows 7 a typical location is
C:\Users\[User Name]\Documents\TrackMania\Tracks\Replays\Autosaves

In both examples [User Name] is the name of the account you are logged into windows with



If you just have the list of files it is easier to find when the full details including the date are shown



then either through the menu arrange by date (modified)



or click on the date modified column heading to arrange by modification date


The most recent files will then either be at the very top or very bottom of the list depending on the previous sorting of the list. If you sort again by date modified the order will be reversed.

The name of the autosave file you are looking for will always be posted in the first topic for a cup week
